When to order your dress.

As our dresses are hand made to order, the lead time for our gowns is between 7 and 8 months. However, if your wedding is sooner than this, please enquire as it may be possible to arrange for a rush delivery. Please be aware, this may incur an extra charge.

Payments for dresses

We require a deposit of up to 50% of the cost of your dress at the time of ordering. The balance is payable when the dress arrives around 8 – 12 weeks before the wedding. Sale dresses purchased are to be paid for in full at the time of reservation. All monies paid are non refundable.

Accessories

Veils and accessories take between 1 and 6 weeks to arrive so whilst you may wish to choose these at the same time as your dress, you can leave this until your dress arrives. All accessories are to be paid for in full at the time of ordering. All monies paid are non refundable.

Fittings and Alterations

We usually arrange for dresses to arrive between 8 and 12 weeks prior to your wedding. Once your dress has arrived, we will write to inform you and request that you contact us to arrange an appointment. PLEASE NOTE, that whilst we can accommodate Saturday appointments, it would be gratefully appreciated if you would be able to arrange for your fittings on either a Monday or Friday. The shop can be extremely busy on a Saturday which can be distracting for both yourself and our seamstress and with so many people around, there is also the possibility of your dress getting damaged.

Alteration charges are displayed in the boutique and you will be advised of the maximum alteration charge when you order your dress. At Bellissima, we carry out alterations on our wedding gowns in house. Once your wedding dress arrives from the designer, it remains on our premises until you are ready to take it for your big day.

Bridesmaid dresses

We do have a selection of bridesmaid dresses from the LouLou and Jasmine 'Belsioe' collections. Our seamstresses focus is on bridal gowns and due to the time taken with these, we are unable to offer an alteration service for Bridesmaid dresses. We do, however, have contact details for professionals who can provide this service for you. We do not take any responsibility for alterations carried out elsewhere.
